Introduction
Artisan offers uploading of insurance claims via the Change Healthcare Insurance Clearinghouse as an optional service.
Navigation
Click on the Accounting tab ($ icon).
Select the appropriate invoice for processing by clicking on the + plus sign to expand the corresponding DOS.
Click the Upload Claim button to transmit the claim to Change Healthcare.
You will get a pop up window to verify Claim Upload Type: Primary Insurance, Secondary Insurance, Both Insurance, or Tertiary Insurance. Click on the appropriate choice for Insurance.
You will see the above notification indicating that the upload process has started. Click Ok.
If the claim was submitted successfully, you will see a green banner appear and the Invoice Status will automatically change to Uploaded to Clearinghouse.
If there any immediate errors with the claim, you will receive a pop up window with Claim Errors that can be fixed and then re-uploaded.
Claim History
To view the Claim History, click the purple Invoice Action button and then select Claim History.
A separate window will open with the Claim Reports for that specific invoice. This window can be closed when you are finished reviewing.
Accessing the Change Healthcare Portal
Change Healthcare offers a comprehensive interface to manage your claims.
Click the Account Action button in the Invoice Summary screen.
Select Change Healthcare Portal to view the status of your uploaded claims.
**You will need a separate password to access this portal. You will receive this password when you open your account with Change Healthcare.
Enter Username and Password specific to the Change Healthcare Customer Portal.

Printing a 1500 form
There will be instances where you may need to print a 1500 form for direct submission to an insurance company.
Click the Invoice Action button.
Click Edit Claims Detail.
Here, you will have the ability to edit the claim information and to also View the 1500 Form.
Click the purple View 1500 Form button.
Select which insurance claim you wish to view Primary Insurance, Secondary Insurance, or Tertiary Insurance.
The 1500 Form can be viewed.
If you wish to print a form, you can Generate a Ghost Form.
The Ghost Form has been created and can be printed for manual submission onto your blank HCFA forms.
