Introduction
Laboratory Notes enables the embryology team to enter embryo stage/grade information into the database. Our goal is to make the underlying system as flexible as possible to allow every laboratory to utilize their individual grading system.
This lesson will teach you how to set up embryo grading for oocytes, fertilization check, and cleaved embryos.
Setting up your Embryo Grading System will allow for quick grading in the course of your daily work. Please complete this step before using the features inside of Lab Notes.

Embryo Grading
First select Lab Manager from your left hand icons. Then select the Embryo Grading System icon to begin building your embryo grading system.
Oocyte grade values are contained in a single cell on the ER table. Select the green (+) to enter a new value. The entries in this table will be displayed in alphabetical order in the grading options for oocytes at ER.
Select the trash can icon to delete an entry.
Select the D1 tab and enter in D1 embryo grading. When on D1 use the first green (+) to add values to enter the embryo grading.
Once all the values have been added using the second green (+) add the next set of values.
After all values are added to both section one and section two, it will automatically start to build section three. In section three, click into the cells of the first column and select from the drop-down list to begin associating the grading to the next column choice. The selected value from the first column will automatically transition to the top.
Once this value is at the top you will then will select the grading that associates with column one in column two.
The information that was entered from both sections will now be the grading for D1.
The same steps are required to enter in the D2, D3, and D4 grading.
When entering the grading for D5, a fourth column will display under section three. This column represents the blastocysts' stages. Use the drop-down to associate the stage with the embryo grading. Complete this step for all grading that requires a blastocyst stage.
