Print & Send Patient Account Statements


Navigation

From the Home Screen:

  1. Select the Accounting tab.

  2. Select the Statements tab.



Print a Statement for a Single Visit


  1. Select the Patient tab.

  2. Use the search bar to bring up the patient’s financial chart.



  1. Select the Date of Service (DOS) for which you would like to print an Invoice Statement.

  2. Select the Invoice Action button.

  3. Select Print Statement.




A new window will open up with the Invoice Statement.  The statement can be printed by clicking the Print button in the upper right corner.  

Click Close to close the window.




Print an Account Statement for a Single Patient


In the Invoice Summary screen, select the invoices you would like to include in the Account Statement. 

Note: The invoice must have a Patient Responsibility balance to show in the Account Statement.



After selecting the dates you are including in the account statement:

  1. Click the Account Action button.

  2. Select Print Account Statement.


The Account Statement will open in new window, now detailing multiple dates of service within the date range selected.




Bulk Print Account Statements for the Entire Practice

In Accounting:

  1. Click the Clinic tab.

  2. Select the Statements tab.


The Statements Tab allows users to sort and filter their view. 

  1. Sort By - Name (Ascending/Descending) or Age of Balance (Ascending/Descending).

  2. Filter by the Last Name of the Patient (A-F/G-K/L-P/Q-U/V-Z).

  3. Filter by AR Age of Balance (Current/31-60/61-90/91-120/121+).

  4. Unsent - allows users to filter to statements that have not been sent recently.

Click Search to apply filters.

Click Clear to clear filter selections.


 


  1. Account Balance - provides current balance of patient’s account.

  2. Escrow Balance - provides current escrow balance for users wanting to transfer money from escrow to patient account balance.

  3. Last Statement Action - shows date/timestamp of when the most recent statement was printed or sent via Change Healthcare.



The red ‘i’ icon displays when corrections are needed to send a statement. 

Hover over the ‘i’ to see what changes need to be made.



The Statement History icon allows users to see when statements were printed or sent to the patient.



In the Statement History, you can see which statements were Uploaded by Change Healthcare or Printed by the clinic. Click on the icons to see an image of that statement.




There are several ways to print or send bulk statements:

  1. Click All Patients to select every patient across all of the pages.

  2. Clicking the Checkbox in the black header bar will select All patients listed on that page only.

  3. Click on the Checkboxes for only the patients you want to send/print statements for on that page.

  4. Click Print Statement or Send Statement

Note: Using the Send Statement button will have Change Healthcare submit the statements on behalf of the practice. Please contact Artisan if you are interested in this feature.




Sending Statements via Change Healthcare




After the Send Statement button is selected, a pop-up window will appear confirming that you want to send the statements. Click OK or Cancel.


If any patient accounts are missing information necessary to send the statement, an error box will appear providing the areas needing correction prior to resending the statement.



After the Statements are sent, a pop-up window will appear notifying you that the upload process has begun. Click OK.



A green banner will appear with confirmation that the statements were uploaded successfully to Change Healthcare.



Printing Statements

After selecting the patient accounts you want to print statements for, click Print Statements. A window will appear with the statements for the patients you have selected.




Click Print in the upper right-hand corner. The system will print individual patient statements.
