The bulk payment feature allows users to apply a single payment to multiple invoices as well as applying adjustments to the invoices as needed.
Navigation

Click Accounting
-
Select the Patient tab

Search for the Patient in the Type to Find Patient bar

Select invoices that have a Patient Responsibility by clicking the checkbox for that date of service.

Click the green Apply Payment button.
A pop-up window will appear for the Bulk Payment Entry.
Enter the payment date, amount, method, and location.
The patient balance and selected invoice balances will appear below the payment details.
There are three ways to move money using the Bulk Payment feature:

Autofill All- The Autofill All button will automatically apply the payment to line items starting with the oldest AR date.

Autofill Invoice-The Autofill Invoice button will automatically apply money to the line items in that invoice only.

Manual posting-click in the Amount Paid field to enter the payment amount for that specific line item.
Adjustments
While using the Bulk Payment entry to log payments, users can also apply adjustments to line items as needed.

Select the adjustment code from the dropdown menu.

Enter the adjustment amount in the Adjustment Amount field.
The Total Paid field will show the amount paid on all of the invoices.
The Total Adjustments field will show the total amount of all adjustments in the Bulk entry.
The Total New Balance will display the remaining balance of the invoices after all payments and adjustments are applied.
Click Save once all payments and adjustments have been entered.
Using the Bulk Payment Feature for Adjustments only (no payment)
Follow the steps above for creating a payment but enter $0.00 as the payment amount.
For the payment method, select Cash. (Note: This will not interfere with any reporting.)
Follow the above steps for adding an adjustment.
